About the medicine
The syrup contains a water extract of narrow-leaved plantain leaves, which soothes a dry, irritating cough associated with inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and reduces inflammation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and throat. The mucilage in plantain coats the mucous membranes and protects them from irritants that trigger coughing. The active ingredients in plantain contribute to a mild antibacterial effect and thus help relieve inflammation of the respiratory tract.
Plantain syrup is recommended for dry, irritating coughs associated with upper respiratory tract infections and for reducing inflammation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and throat.
