About the medicine
The roots of common marshmallow contain mucilage, which coats the mucous membranes and mechanically protects them from irritants that trigger coughing. Thyme contains essential oils (thymol and carvacrol) that facilitate expectoration and promote the elimination of mucus from the respiratory tract. It also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, making it beneficial for inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. Thyme also contains flavonoid compounds, which have an antispasmodic effect, relieving respiratory spasms and soothing a dry, irritating cough.
Marshmallow Syrup with Thyme is recommended for respiratory tract conditions accompanied by a dry and irritating cough.
