{"id":3750,"date":"2026-02-12T11:05:29","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T10:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/obalne-lekarne.si\/?page_id=3750"},"modified":"2026-10-05T16:03:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T14:03:03","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/obalne-lekarne.si\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-37268257\">\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-065ddc1c\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The founders of Obalne lekarne Koper are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Municipality of Izola,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Municipality of Koper, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Municipality of Piran.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The public institution provides pharmacy services in the area of Slovenian Istria and the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its operations are governed by the Decree on the Transformation of the Public Institution for Pharmacy Services Obalne lekarne Koper, including subsequent amendments and supplements, and by the Statutes of the Public Institution Obalne lekarne Koper, including subsequent amendments and supplements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Internal organisation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>nine pharmacy units, including six pharmacies and three pharmacy branches,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Galenic Laboratory,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>central services, comprising the Quality Control and Analytical Laboratory, Accounting and Finance Department, General Human Resources Department and Information Technology Department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In their work, Obalne lekarne Koper are committed to professional, responsible and ethical conduct, acting in the best interests of patients and in cooperation with the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of pharmacy services is to provide high-quality and effective access to medicines and other products that support treatment and the preservation of health, as well as to provide advice on their safe, proper and appropriate use, both to patients and other healthcare professionals. At the same time, providing pharmaceutical care to patients makes an important contribution to maintaining health and achieving the expected clinical, humanistic and economic outcomes of treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pharmaceutical patient care is an individual, comprehensive, proactive, periodic and systematic approach to patients aimed at ensuring their active participation in maintaining health, preventing the onset of disease or deterioration of their health, ensuring the proper use of medicines and other measures for disease management, and ensuring the timely involvement of other healthcare professionals. As part of seamless care, cognitive pharmacy services are provided, such as the preparation and updating of the Personal Medication Record, Medication Use Review and follow-up Medication Use Review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activities of the Galenic Laboratory and the Quality Control and Analytical Laboratory include reliable and high-quality production and testing of galenic medicines and other products based on traditional formulations passed down through generations of pharmacists and doctors. Koper je bil kot pomembno gospodarsko in upravno sredi\u0161\u010de eno prvih mest na obmo\u010dju dana\u0161nje Slovenije, kjer se je razvila organizirana lekarni\u0161ka dejavnost. V naslednjih stoletjih so se lekarne razvijale v Kopru, Piranu in Izoli, po drugi svetovni vojni pa so se zasebne lekarne postopoma preoblikovale v javne lekarni\u0161ke ustanove.
